Gin Soaked Raisins the Arthritis Cure

Gin soaked raisins are what some people call a folk tail remedy for arthritis; however, many people have questioned this idea as to its origin and the reasoning behind the assumptions. No scientific studies using sugar pills or a control group for a real solid scientific test has taken place; therefore, no scientific conclusions can be made to solidify or rebut the claims of those who say they have been helped by soaking raisins in gin as a treatment for arthritis. Hence, the gin raisins arthritis remedy lives on.

While other people question the practice, there are true arthritis patients who believe in the raisins. They are patients who have looked for relief and found it in the old wise tale recipe. Those who do not suffer from arthritis should tread lightly when commenting on the practices of another’s pain relief; you never know when you will find yourself in the same situation.

Many patients seek pain relief every day and when the doctor cannot provide the relief they require, they will go elsewhere. If a doctor cannot control a patient’s arthritis pain then the idea of using raisins soaked with gin may well come to many people as an alternative. We should not jump to accept raisins that are gin soaked when another remedy is not available. A raisin, which has been soaked in gin, may contain something new, it may be just the alcohol, and knowing the repercussions of alcohol consumption should not be taken lightly.

This is a serious claim and its foundation is in folklore wisdom; without scientific study, the claims of relief from arthritis found in raisins soaked with gin should simply be attributed to the alcohol. Hopefully, someone will put this method to the true tests of science to see if there is a natural occurring reaction when raisins are soaked in gin that can be the foundation of the claims or if it is simply the alcohol alone that is relieving the pain. Do not jump to conclusions it may well be proven in the future that raisins, which are soaked in gin, have a scientific reason for the results that are claimed by their use.
