Fat Burning Supplements
Find Out if They Work, Plus: The Best Fat Loss Supplements
If you are looking into trying fat burning supplements to help you acheive your goal of losing weight, you should definitely use caution. Because the health supplement industry is largely unregulated in the United States, it can be difficult to know what you are getting into when you purchase weight loss supplements. Many so called “diet pills” are simply ineffective and are a total waste of your hard earned money. Still others may be effective, yet dangerous or even harmful to your body (remember ephedra?). However, if you choose your supplements carefully, you should be able to find fat burning supplements that are right for you.
Just remember to do your homework, and never forget that supplements are not miracle pills. In addition to any supplements, you will also need exercise and a balanced diet to create effective fast weight loss plans.
Weight Loss Supplements That Really Work
With Ephedra now illegal, dietary supplement manufacturers were forced to go back to the drawing board and come up with fresh, legal supplements to help people burn off fat without killing them! Here are a few notable ingredents that show a lot of promise:
- Green Tea Extract: Green Tea is nothing new or revolutionary, it has been around for hundreds of years. Until recently, however, few took notice of it’s effectiveness at helping shed those unwanted pounds. It also gets bonus points for it’s powerful antioxidants and good health effects, plus it gives you a healthy boost of energy.
- CLA: Meatheads and bodybuilders already know that CLA can help build muscle, but people are now beginning to realize that it also aids in shedding fat. Ironically, CLA is a fatty acid, but it has been shown to improve metabolic processes and even help you maintain your weight after you have lossed your unwanted extra weight.
- R-ALA: This form of Alpha-Lipoic-Acid aids in aerobic metabolism, helping you to use sugars and carbs as fuel rather than storing them as fat. Not only does R-ALA aid in weight loss, it is also a powerful antioxidant that has many other properties, including use as an anti-aging supplement.
Ineffective Weight Loss Supplements: These Don’t Work!
There are several so called fat burning supplements that have absolutely no effectiveness or, at the very least, very shady and insignificant evidence of aiding in weight loss. Here are just a few that are probably a waste of your time and money: Pyruvate (studies show that the small doses provided in commercial dietary supplements are not significant enough to provide any type of impact on fat loss) and HCA or Hydroxycitrate (according to studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, HCA is ineffective for helping you lose weight).
